Chelation Therapy is the treatment of free radical damage (arteriosclerosis, blood vessels disease, heavy metal toxicity, etc.) by the IV administration of EDTA. Chelation therapy has historically been used to treat coronary artery disease (hardening of the arteries of the heart), PVD (peripheral vascular disease), and other degenerative diseases. There are numerous studies that document the safety and efficacy of chelation therapy. Most insurance companies do not cover chelation therapy costs.
